A Huge Convenience During the Summer

Onsite multi-car Parking is a great feature of our house. Plus our beautiful street has non-metered parking. The Longfellow Guest House comes with a private driveway that accommodates parking for three cars. Now this might not sound like a big deal, until you talk with other Cape May vacationers who don't have this benefit.

Summer Parking in Cape May is a Big Problem

Cape May's popularity and small town-ness have conspired to create a significant parking problem during busy times, and in particular, the summer months. In fact, many vacationers in southern New Jersey will make day trips to our beautiful town, adding even more to the difficulty of finding a parking spot during the popular summer months. So a few years back we installed a driveway so now our vacation guests are afforded parking for three cars.

Extra Benefit! Hughes is a Non-Metered Street

One other point; Hughes Street is a non-metered street. This is unusual in town but also great for renters. We suggest to our guests that when they arrive on check in day, they look for additional spots Hughes Street. That way they can park extra cars on Hughes Street — close to the house — and leave those cars there for the week while the cars in the driveway can be utilized for shopping and getting around town. Perfect!
